1. The main reasons for forklift oil leakage
1. The quality, material or workmanship of the forklift parts is poor, and the structural design is not good;
2. Improper assembly and adjustment of accessories, unclean mating surfaces during assembly, damaged gaskets, displacement or failure to comply with operating specifications;
3. The torque of the tightening nut is uneven, the sliding wire is broken or loose and falls off, and the work fails;
4. After long-term use of the seals, the wear and tear, aging and deterioration, and deformation failure;
5. The forklift lubricating oil is added too much, the oil level is too high or the wrong oil is added;
6. The joint surface of forklift parts (side covers, thin-walled parts) is flexed and deformed; the shell parts are damaged, resulting in the leakage of lubricating oil;
7. After the vent plug and one-way valve are blocked, due to the difference of air pressure inside and outside the casing, oil leakage is often caused at the weak seal.
2. Measures to prevent forklift oil leakage
1. Pay attention to the role of the pad. Various gaskets are installed between the components of the stationary parts of the forklift (such as the end faces of each joint, each end cover, the object, the cover gasket, the flat flange cover, etc.), which play a sealing role. Although the cushion is small, it has a great effect. If the material, size, production quality and installation method do not meet the technical specifications, the sealing effect will not be achieved, and an accident may even occur. Such as oil pan or valve cover, due to the large contact area, it is not easy to compact. It is easy to cause oil leakage. Oil leaks at the rear oil seal of the crankshaft, and it will also penetrate into the clutch, which not only consumes oil, but also causes the forklift clutch plate to be stained, slipped and burned. Therefore, when disassembling and assembling the gasket, you should pay attention to proper placement, carefully check its quality, and assemble it according to regulations.
2. Tighten the nuts according to the maintenance specifications. All kinds of tightening nuts on the forklift (such as cylinder head nuts, gear chamber cover and valve cover nuts) should be evenly tightened according to the fixed torque. If it is too loose, the gasket will not be pressed tightly and oil will leak; In addition, if the oil drain plug of the oil pan (casing) is not tightened or loosened, it will easily cause a large amount of loss, and then the machine damage accident of "burning tile shaft" will occur.
3. Replace the failed oil seal. There are many moving parts on the forklift with oil seals and O-rings. Due to improper installation of these parts, the shaft journal and the oil seal edge are not concentric, and it is easy to throw oil due to deflection. Some will lose elasticity due to rubber aging after long-term use; some will lose oil sealing due to damage to the lip or failure of the self-tightening spring. Therefore, it is found that the rubber seal leaks oil, and the standard forklift should be repaired or replaced with qualified parts.
4. Replace seriously worn parts in time. When the clearance between the main bearing and the journal is too large, the front and rear oil seals will lose their tightness due to the impact of the crankshaft, resulting in oil leakage from the crankshaft head, or oil seepage into the clutch, which contaminates the friction plates and causes slippage and work failure.
5. Avoid blockage of one-way valve and ventilation valve. Regular inspection, dredging and cleaning to keep the one-way valve and ventilation valve open.
6. Properly solve the sealing of various oil pipe joints. To replace the coupling nut, it is necessary to tighten and compact the nut to ensure the sealing after grinding the coupling joint and the horn or clamping the thin copper sheet between the two conical surfaces.
7. Avoid the hub oil throwing. When the forklift wheel is being repaired and maintained, the fork wheel hub bearing and the lubricating grease in the cavity are too much, or the fork wheel hub oil is not properly packaged, the quality is poor, the aging failure and frequent braking cause the fork wheel hub temperature is too high, and the axle nut is loose, etc. Causes the hub to throw oil. Therefore, the maintenance of the forklift should adopt the "cavity lubrication method" to lubricate the right amount, dredging the air holes, using the brake reasonably, strictly selecting high-quality accessories, and assembling and adjusting according to the process specifications to avoid the fork wheel hub throwing oil.
