Common faults and repair methods of internal combustion forklifts
1. The battery of the forklift is too low-charge the battery.
2. The circuit connection is poor-check whether the wire is loose.
3. The starter fails-check whether the contact between the starter brush and the commutator is poor, and whether the internal terminal of the starter is poorly connected.
4. The machine oil pressure is too high or too low-due to the poor quality of the lubricant, the low viscosity of the lubricant, or the gasoline and water mixed in the lubricant, the lubricant should be replaced.
5. The engine cannot start or starts with difficulty-the fuel tank is insufficient, or the fuel tank switch is not turned on. The fuel volume needs to be replenished, or the fuel tank switch needs to be turned on.
6. The engine is unstable-check whether the fuel supply line is blocked, damaged or leaking at the joint. The pipeline can be unblocked or the fuel supply pipe can be replaced to solve the sealing of the joint.
7. The carburetor is not working properly, the mixture is small or the mixture is too thin-adjust or replace the carburetor.
8. The gasoline pump and oil pump are out of order-check for ruptured membranes, falling connecting rods and other faults.
9. Fuel filter is blocked - clean the filter.
10. Fuel injection filter is blocked - check and eliminate.
11. If the engine is overheated, underpowered or unstable, you can consider checking whether the fuel injection pump is faulty - check and eliminate.
12. If the engine exhaust pipe emits black smoke or has a blasting sound, overheating or underpowered, you can check the fuel injection pump or the ignition timing is incorrect. You need to adjust the injection advance angle, adjust the engine to start easily, do not emit black smoke when working, and do not emit metal knocking sounds (injection too early); adjust the ignition time. If the ignition time is too early, there will be metal knocking sounds (sudden explosions) during acceleration, and if the ignition time is too late, the exhaust pipe will emit black smoke or bubbling sounds.
13. Incorrect valve timing - adjust the valve timing.
14. Insufficient compression - check and eliminate.
15. The vent hole of the fuel tank is blocked - clear the vent hole.
16. The fuel brand is incorrect - select fuel according to the brand required by the engine.
17. The throttle is stuck or the movement is blocked - check and eliminate.
18. The cylinder compression force is insufficient. Check whether the cylinder gasket is leaking. If there is, eliminate the fault.
19. The engine is overheated - check and eliminate.
20. The engine has not reached the precision adjustment - readjust the engine to meet the precision adjustment requirements.
21. The cylinder compression force is insufficient - whether the valve is blocked, check the valve clearance and adjust it.
22. The crankcase pressure is too high - the cylinder liner needs to be repaired or replaced.
23. The valve and the valve seat are in poor contact, and the closure is not tight. Adjust or replace.
24. If the cylinder compression force is insufficient or the engine exhaust pipe emits black smoke or there is a blasting sound, you can also check the piston ring for damage, wear or ablation, which can be directly replaced.
25. The valve clearance is too large and the valve impact sound occurs. The clearance should be adjusted as required.
26. The engine power is insufficient and the valve clearance is too small. The valve clearance should be adjusted according to the engine requirements.
27. The crankcase pressure is too high, the valve stem or valve guide is worn-repair or replace.
28. The engine oil pressure is too low, the lubricating oil brand is wrong, choose the appropriate brand of lubricating oil.
29. The valve is worn or malfunctions-repair or replace.
30. The engine oil pressure is too low, the amount of lubricating oil is insufficient-add enough oil.
31. The engine oil pressure is too low or too high, and the oil gauge has errors-replace.
32. The engine oil pressure is too low, the oil pump is too worn or the bolts are loose and leaking-repair or replace.
33. The safety valve of the lubrication system is stuck in the open position-adjust and repair.
34. The engine oil pressure is too high, and the safety valve of the lubrication system is stuck in the closed position-adjust and repair.
35. The spring of the safety valve of the lubrication system is broken-replace.
36. There is a metal knocking sound-need to check the valve spring damage-replace.
37. The engine is overheated, the engine cooling system has leakage or insufficient cooling water-repair.
38. The gasoline forklift truck engine is overheated, and the fan drive belt is too loose to drive the water pump to work - repair.
39. The engine is overheated, and the thermostat does not work, repair or replace.
40. The water pump loses its pumping function due to a fault - repair or replace.
41. The engine is overheated, there is too much scale in the water jacket, and the flow of cooling water is blocked - check and eliminate.
42. The radiator is blocked by scale accumulation - check and eliminate.
43. The oil pressure is too low, and the oil pan lubricating oil coarse filter is blocked - check and eliminate.
44. The main oil channel of the lubricating oil is blocked - check and eliminate.
45. The ventilation pipe is blocked - check and eliminate.
46. The clearance of the front crankshaft bearing is too large - check and eliminate. This fault will cause the oil pressure to be too low.
