Forklift Battery Discharge Indicator Adjustment
Feb 18 , 2024
Only by using a battery with the same voltage as that required for rough terrain forklift operation, and the voltage should be within the display range, can the BDI be accurately adjusted. If the lifting is completed and "EL" appears on the display, it is necessary to follow the program characteristics again. "10" to select Type 1 and then make the necessary adjustments.
BDI regulation.
1. Disconnect the forklift battery, discharge the counterbalance lift truck forklift capacitor, remove the logic board cover and confirm that the diagnostic/run/setting switch is in the "run" position.
2. Set up a multimeter to measure the forklift battery voltage. Connect the multimeter's positive probe to the battery's positive cable on the line contactor. The negative probe of the multimeter is connected to the negative pole of the battery.
3. Place the universal joystick in the center position and connect the battery.
4. Turn off the seat switch and turn the key switch to the on position. The BDI display will always show the correct bar for the measured voltage to facilitate correction of the values shown in the table below.
5. If the display is incorrect, turn off the key switch and adjust the potentiometer VR5. Turning VR5 clockwise increases the bar, while turning it counterclockwise decreases the display bar. Rotating VR5 about half a turn changes a display bar. The key switch should be turned off during adjustment, otherwise the display will not change.
6. If the voltage is 49.1V, VR5 should be rotated to find the transition point between display 6 and 5. This correctly calibrates the BDI at high 5.
